Gift Processing Specialist
Wisconsin Public Radio and PBS Wisconsin are seeking two Gift Processing Specialists to join the team responsible for cultivating the support of members whose contributions make up the largest sources of revenue for Wisconsin Public Radio and PBS Wisconsin.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is energized by leveraging their exceptional attention to detail, passion for database-centered work, and commitment to stewarding positive relationships with donors and community members to advance a vital public service mission.
The Gift Processing Specialists report to the Development Data Operations Manager and are part of the Wisconsin Public Radio and PBS Wisconsin Membership team.
The Gift Processing Specialists contribute to Wisconsin Public Radio’s and PBS Wisconsin’s fundraising successes by processing and recording donations in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with established department policies, updating member records and pledges in our database, carrying out data hygiene tasks of basic to moderate complexity, serving as a resource to Development colleagues regarding established business rules related to gift entry and account data hygiene, and providing audience and member support by answering questions over the phone and via email during designated shifts.
These positions require strong attention to detail and organization, aptitude for understanding data relationships, ability to learn and oversee established system-based procedures and intricate business rules, and commitment to positive communication with colleagues, donors, and audience members. The Gift Processing Specialists must be able to work effectively both with a team to accomplish shared goals and independently to complete tasks and projects with minimal direct oversight.
This position is Ongoing/Renewable.
These are full-time, 40 hour a week positions. These positions typically work Monday-Friday, and must be available for active phone hours, which are 9am-4:30pm CT. Gift Processing Specialists have some flexibility to set their regular work day schedule around this window as long as phone support needs are met.
The Gift Processing Specialists must be open to the possibility of working overtime hours during on-air fundraising drives, held 5-6 weeks per year, including scheduled evening and weekend shifts. These evening and weekend shifts are scheduled based on staff availability and can be worked remotely.
These positions have the option of being hybrid in accordance with the UW-Madison policy for remote work and the terms of their approved Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA). An FWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee. Following a successful probationary period, these positions may be hybrid with an expectation of 2-4 days per week in-person in Madison, WI. Please expect to be on-site in Vilas Hall anywhere from 4-5 days a week for the first four weeks of employment for training purposes. The final schedule can be discussed in the offer stage, but fully remote candidates will not be accepted.
